Beer topic
Whatever you want to get of your chest and is at least vaguely related to beer. Beer just makes this game more fun (although CPs should take an oath of abstaining of any alcoholic beverages for a whole month )
Re: Beer topic
Well, what I'm going to say is as much beer related as it is eRepublic related:
When I joined eRepublic I was actually drunk!

Does anyone (and I'm looking at our Gentenaars in the first place) know Gruut beer? I've drank it a couple of times eralier, but I recently discovered it's brewery-cafe in Ghent (close to the Minard), and I'm pretty enthusiastic about it Our new beer-pride of Ghent
(I think they actually have 4 kinds now)

Re: Beer topic
I usually keep it simple with blond Leffe. But I truely think Westvleteren is the best beer in the world.

Yep, like that one too. Anyone know Keizer Karel? I don't really know where it's origin is, but I had it once, and it wasn't bad.
I also became a big fan of Maredsous beer. When we were in China with school we were offered that(multiple ones ) at the Belgium embassie. And since Chinese beer wasn't worth sh** I drank really much. And I love it ever since

I'm a duvel drinker. In my studentspub we've got a studentsclub whose memberships allow you to drink duvels @ 2€ in that pub. Since Antwerp does not know any fakbars and other cheapass students pubs, that price is awesome!

Re: Beer topic
If you ever come to Québec, you need to taste Unibroue's beers, it's more expensive than the popular canadian beers like Molson or Labbatt, but it tastes better, Unibroue's beers has names like "la fin du monde", "la maudite", "don de dieu", "blanche de chambly":
While I was looking for pics I found this website about beers in Québec, it's in French but it's a good read:

OMG, Michel! Don't get these Belgians started on beer, or we'll never get anything done around here.

Re: Beer topic
I've never tasted beer and never will, my brother was an alcoholic (He is sober now), so I'd rather not become one like him.

Re: Beer topic
Nope I've never tasted a Belgian beer, only the canadian ones. I think Stella Artois is Belgian? but I've never tasted it.

Re: Beer topic
Well, I've never tasted a canadian beer, but I'm pretty sure you'll love the belgian special beers (stella is "just" a regular beer).
I actually met a Canadian guy working in a Belgian pub in Brussels and he loved them
